I generally just lurk on bananafish, however some time back someone on this
list mentioned Cheever as an author with the right stuff. Based on that I
decided to go back and reread him and look a little harder. As luck would
have it I got a book of his short stories and I have to say, his
observations on family relationships (especially spousal) are very
insightful. I have just recently gone through a divorce and that book was
the perfect book to read at that point in my life...Walter
