Yes, Goddammit it does matter. Those were not hate filled terms. People can
be filled with hate, not terms. If only Mr. Preacher could help me out here.
See, meanings of words can be ambiguous, but only humans can be
ambivalent.Moreover, I'll be damned to lie down and let the knee-jerk
purveyors of justice come to the rescue on this one. Although there is no
doubt they will be back in full-force as soon as they return from the
Eddie-Bauer-Wearing Border's-browsing-intellectual crowd most are immersed
in. Or driving their Volvos towards, at the least.

Will was offended some time ago when I challenged him to provide his pupils
with a better work of fiction than S:AI in his creative writing class. So I
reverted to Sterne and gave him some Shandyisms as suggestions. As a thank
you gesture, I find no less than fifty messages in my inbox, ranging from
harmless clap-trap and malarkey to alarming and dangerous viruses and
hoaxes. Not to say William is responsible for all of those, but the bulk of
them were from typical academics, obviously bored during their lives of
quiet desperation.
So it goes to show you: Those who do teach!
