Thank you for the forward.  I hope you'll consider forwarding THIS to the
list, but anyhow,

Your comments are remarkably perceptive and I agree with you totally.  As
you pointed out, you missed a couple of my posts regarding the page, but
the objective is just what you suggest--the page is under construction, and
I don't possess the technological knowledge Luke does.  I've written him,
of course, but I get the impression he'd rather just move on from things
like this, as he's already done them.

By next week each of the quotes will be a hotlink to a student reaction
paper written on it, and the page will also contain links to other student
essays and one by myself which more fully establishes my purpose.

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit the site and offer your
suggestions.  I'm forwarding you a letter I wrote to the chair of my
department concerning the objective of the page as it will stand next week,
which you're also welcome to post.  I seem to have put Tim out by
unsubscribing.  I just decided I needed to spend less time being
contentious and more time doing things such as you suggest!
