Oh, no Cecilia,
I wasn't saying that spelling and grammar are unimportant and outmoded
concepts. I hope that my own posts demonstrate that I at least give a
nod in their direction - although my own are far from perfect, that's
my error, not lack of concern. I was just responding to Becky's worry
that she was in some way unfit to post because she is young and
(relatively) uneducated. If we youngsters always thought that way, and
never dared to post for fear of being crushed by the Jims of this world
(sorry, Jim, but somehow your name sprang to mind!) we would never
develop the independent thought and learning we admmire in our elders.
Robbie has proved that "shaking up the oldies" can be intelligent
debate, even if hampered by lack of time in which to learn everything
we might wish we knew.
