That letter has always bothered me, too. And it's funny that it took me
about a hundred times of reading it to catch that when she says she's
going "i.e. crazy," after using "i.e." in a sentence, I thought she meant
"i.e." weirdly modifying "crazy" -- then I realized she meant she's
been using "i.e." a lot lately.
