In the East, teachers and eccentric liberals will correct your use of the
word "Indian" towards "Native American"
And then if you go to North Dakota, where they have reservations and bullet
holes in the highway-signs, you won't hear anyone -- even the INDIANS
themselves -- ever use the word "Native American" (except maybe on the name
of a museum).
