OSR--I've been wondering about Mr. Antolini.... Holden tells us that
"something perverty" like that has "happenned to me about twenty times since
I was a kid..." Now, as hard as it may be to believe, TCinR (note that
crucial "T", Will!) is set in an historical era that is earlier even than my
own. And I can't say that I had anywhere near so many such experiences.
Did I lead a 'sheltered' life, in darkest Canada, far away from anything
like Pencey Prep? Anybody have any idea (or stats even) how common those
kinds of "assault" were then or are now--when we hear so much more about them?
