I have that copy of the book, too. When I finished reading _TSATF_, I
wanted to talk to everyone about it. Unfortunately, no one else in my
general vicinity had read it, and the Norton edition was my only outlet. I
was positively gleeful. After that experience, I'd decided to buy the
Norton edition whenever it was available, and have never regretted it since.
What I find so interesting about the Norton Crit. Eds. is that they contain
criticism from the day that the book was published, as well as background
material to help you flesh out the book in your head. As I recall, there's
a particularly good essay by someone or another who also wrote something or
another and decided that he needed to tell the whole world what a
masterpiece this was. Ah, bliss.
I've been on vacation for the past week-and-a-half, and have been sans email
for that same time, so I was a little overwhelmed with the number of posts
in my inbox this morning. I hope that everyone had a safe and happy holiday
season.
Regards,
Cecilia.
