Hi Kids! I've been on this list for at least a month now but I haven't "post"ed yet. I've been enjoying everybody else's posts though. But lately I've felt more and more comfortable with expressing my opinions and more and more desire to ask you guys questions.... so I thought I'd better do that intro thing now. Ok, so I'm 19 years old and I live in Southern California. I first ran into Salinger in college (last year I guess). I had like an hour and a half in between two classes one day and I didn't want to go all the way home and them come back so I went to waste time in the library. I happened to grab "Catcher..." (which I had heard of before but never considered reading because I didn't like the title or something) and read the first paragraph and I knew I was going to have to read it. I loved the "and all that David Copperfield kind of crap" attitude. So anyway, I read it and of course loved it but I didn't really think about reading any other Salinger stuff until I joined this list and saw all you guys talking about "Franny and Zooey" etc. Now I've read all his books but none of the "Uncollected" stories. Well, I was gonna keep going talking about myself but I don't wanna bore anyone. Keep up the good work, kids! -David Alan
