(: If anyone would send out an Aussie search party for me I would request, in no particular order: Baz Luhrmann (director), Cate Blanchett (actress), Miles Franklin (writer) and Paul Keating (former prime minister). And yes, I dragged something like 12 books all the way up and all the way back. The ironic thing is, the only ones I really got a good read of were a biography of Mary Pickford and a rock book about a guy who toured with Nico from the Velvet Underground in the mid 80s. The rest were hurriedly returned to avoid library fines. However, they SHALL be retrieved as I am already bored being back at home! P.S. Add Les Glass to the search party (: Camille verona_beach@geocities.com > Hey Scottie! > > As per your request: > > we need someone with a knowledge > > of aboriginal ways & speech to sound out the local > > chaps on the ground. > > > > Volunteers? > > > > > I was going to recommend Bruce Chatwin, until someone reminded me that > SONGLINES is supposed to be anthropologically questionable.
