Thor...it's really funny I mentioned the Gospel of Thomas. It's one of the documents in the Nag Hammandi scrolls. Dude, those scrolls are generally believed to have been written in the second century AD by a Gnostic sect in Egypt. You don't really think they're descriptive of the Jerusalem and Roman churches, do you? It seems like they're considered valuable for the study of Gnosticism, and informative in so far as they help us understand **the writings of the early church against Gnostic heresies.** But they don't tell us anything about the real apostles who grew up in Palestine and, tradition records, died in various parts of the Roman Empire.
