Yeah, I'd have to agree with Camille here. Ulysses does deserve to be on ANY list of the Most Important in the English Language, I do think that. But it's pretty cryptic until you know Joyce a bit...well, even AFTER you know Joyce a bit :) When I was doing my honors thesis on Joyce I wanted to make up a list of quotes by famous (esp. literate) people who said they couldn't understand Ulysses.
