Well, really. I'm bewildered. I wouldn't think that a 71 year-old man would forget one essential factor of human nature: It's an established fact that people are idiots. Even me. Even you. Thus, despite the fact that you think people are insulting dead soldliers because they have fun on Memorial Day cookouts, they aren't. What they're doing, (at least the few that actually think about Memorial Day instead of thinking that it's just another day off) is laughing because it hurts. Think about the last time you laughed (assuming psychotic cannibalistic elderly men laugh). It was about something that hurt. Not neccesarily you, but it hurt someone. Maybe it was a Monica Lewinsky joke, or a Littleton joke. In other words, they are mourning while laughing. Not insulting dead people like you say. > Well, really. I'm bewildered.
