In response to the question concerning what to read: _The Metamorphosis_ is *highly* suggested (of course you are speaking to a great fan of Kafka)! I just read it about a year ago this summer and I didn't find it hard to read at all. Yes, as many books are, it is filled with political statements and I actually find it to be quite allegorical. I also second Camille in her efforts to push _Brave New World_. While many of my friends didn't take a liking to it, I felt an overwhelming sense of excitement and curiosity (two weak words, but they get the point across) in reading the book. Not for its controversial elements, as many do, but rather for its genius. -Sarah
