JEEZ, and all this time I thought you were writing an academic paper :)
In that case, THROW OUT all references to Jung and myth crits. That
would be good if you Were Indeed writing an academic paper.

And Toss Out Scottie's reference to the Neo-Freudian eclectics. That is
indeed the direction psychology seems to be taking, but it has nothing to
do with either the academic paper I thought you were writing or your
fiction work.

The question I have to ask you RE your character's motivation...what does
that have to do with the leggy blonde? You're externalizing the guy's
motivation. I like leggy blondes too, but not necessarily in the same
way or for the same reasons (ALRIGHT, not for ALL the SAME reasons,
although at least for SOME of the SAME Reasons -- lest Scottie accuse me
of parthenogeniture :) ), someone else might.

In other words, if the guy is indeed moved to "drastic measures," it's
not just because of a leggy blonde. It's because of his history. You
need to get to know your character better, give him a childhood, a
background, a source of his emotional needs. Why leggy blondes in
particular? Why do YOU prefer leggy blondes in particular? See, I like
leggy blondes, but I also like short brunettes, medium height redheads,
am a true sinophile when it comes to females, and have found many an
african attractive as well. So, examine your own motivations...
