Hi, Lucy, and welcome! There's nothing creepy about just reading
(though your posts are always welcome; it's hard to believe we have
about 250 subscribers, and that the web archive gets between 250,000
and 400,000 hits a month!), and it's nothing like eavesdropping.
I think lots of us have considered the possibility. Some of this may be
"drivel," some of it is not, and I myself would have no strange feeling
if I were to learn that the author were listening to what we have to
say, when we have coherent things to say about his work.
Besides, I spend about 75% of my life with people laughing at me, so I
don't mind it a bit. <*grin*>
