And the Oscar for best soundbite in an acceptance speech goes to--(who
else?) Tom Stoppard!

"Don't clap; they'll play the music."

I watched the whole show to see Stoppard fulfill my fantasy that brilliant
writers are witty in real life, and to see The Thin Red Line win Best
Cinematography.

Well, one out of two isn't bad.  It's half, actually.
