I should add here that I'm very much in agreement with two quotes I once read. I can't for the life of me remember who either of them were spoken by, but one is: `What was it like writing a novel? Like giving birth to a baby grand piano'. The other was: `Writers don't like to write; they like to have written.' I generally write in a half exalted half frenzied state, but ultimately I think it's nicer to have a good fat manuscript in your hand than a bunch of work I haven't done yet (: Guess that's why I'm also a subscriber to the `go with your first hunch rather than endless endless rewrites' school, too. Joining the queue for scottie.com to purchase the Bowman back catalogue online, P.S. to Paul - there's plenty of my writings on both my webpage and if you'd like more I'd be happy to furnish you with them.
