I just came back home after spending a month in St. Petersburg, and went to school in Tampa, but I never did more than carelessly think about looking for Kerouac's house. I sort of thought it would be sad, especially (given my vampire hours) the image I had of myself sitting in a car in the dark, looking at a house where a dead writer had lived. I believe some of our other subscribers are in the Tampa/St. Pete area. Have any of you made a pilgrimage of this sort? If so, what did you find in your feelings? --tim
