I was awe-struck enough just to get a snapshot out of the tourbus window of it when I was in NY in '94 (just too late to be there for its big anniversary!). I've grown up reading about (and loving) the whole CBGB's/Max's Kansas City scene - Patti Smith, Television, Talking Heads et al ... it fascinates me to no end, even though I was barely a tot when it was all happening -thus the extra thrill at seeing them the other year. Man you are lucky! P.S. Good point about that second edition Catcher. I still envy him it madly! Collecting different Catcher editions is somewhat of a habit of mine.
