Bethany,
My first Catcher memories are inevitably bound up in a kind of
adolescent longing for New York in the sixties. I particularly remember
the red cap, wondering what a catcher's mit was and marvelling at how a
teenager could be allowed to ride trains by himself. Hmmm, now that I
read this list everything sounds like a sexual allusion.
