However well-intentioned, Jim (and anyone else so inclined), please
don't do this. For one thing, it's out of place. For another, if
people on the list send a response to it, the response will come back
to the list, and I don't need the headache of managing that kind of
snowball. It also needs to be pruned from the archives, then (which
I'm doing for the September list, as quickly as time permits).
If you get chain mail -- even in the form of good intentions -- this is
not a place for it to go.
Please, please, please, old tiger that burns bright, don't take this as
a rebuke. Just a simple request for courtesy's sake.
