Fine art makes ones heart chill no matter what, Scottie, and in a good way.
Far be it from me, who has been known to step carefully around trails of
ants and rescue Daddy Long Legs spiders from certain doom down the
plughole, to celebrate the idea of a caged bird. In fact it was one thing
we were never allowed to keep as children because my proto-hippy parents
abhor the idea of it so much. It was the art, dear Scottie, the art that
was lending solace to my poor jaw! Perhaps in my white urban angst I was
even identifying with said bird, but that would be too twentysomething for
words.

Now the dentist has given me some nasty tasting goo which stopped my mouth
throbbing. Personally I preferred the Blake.
