Alright, B.F. Skinner....

Actually, I think I agree with Matt, that language and
human mental processes are so intertwined that it is
near impossible to distinguish between the two.  

Which takes us back to translation - can different
linguistic structures communicate a common meaning
across those structures? 

If there are any bilingual people on the list, this
would be a great time to speak up.  

And I can already envision some smart-aleck ready to
hit the reply button and write, "Sure, I'm bilingual; 
I speak American and Canadian."
