That's pretty interesting, and yeah, I have to admit the weight of evidence 
is on your side on this one.  It's also possible we're thinking of two 
different Hitlers here too -- the one still rising to power, the other one 
having consolidated his power and pursuing his agenda.  I'm inclined to think 
he changed just a little bit between 1933 and 1944...but I could be wrong.
