The sound of the music in the street grows muffled as
she closes the shutters against the heat of the afternoon.
She turns to the dressing table & pulls the combs from
her hair. The condensation shows suddenly on the glass
as beer swirls sweetly in. Then she walks over, places
the glass on the table, smiles sleepily & says: 'Take me to bed.'

Before going any further, carry out the following:

    a) check her expression for incipient psychosis
    b) consider the possibility of HIV infection
    c) check your wallet
    d) parse the sentence - 'take me to bed' (is it: TAKE me
to bed, take ME, to bed, take me TO bed, or take
        me to BED?)
    e) consider: is your rating on the Hochman Magnetism Index
sufficient to explain her present behaviour?
    f) consider: she says her name is Concepcion - could this
        contain a hidden meaning?
    g) consider: suppose you die in the next hour, will that
conform to a typical Salinger ending?
    h) consider: isn't there a comparable situation in the Bhagavad
Ghita? - or is it the Rumtumtootilava?
    i) consider: why do you keep thinking about the Upsidedown
        Tree?
    j) consider ...
