One of my rather rare 'sincere' questions. You write, Jim: '... I've almost always had at least one or two readers who either knew what I was doing, or what I was trying to do ...' When you received that feedback you seem to have been happy that your INTENTION had been recognised by at least some of your readers. You say, quite rightly, that if this had not taken place the blame could be placed either on their stupidity or your incompetence. But do you really assert that you would grant equal value to the most 'mistaken' interpretation by the stupidest of your fellow group members about a piece that you yourself had just written?
