will,
i wonder if berryman will make the next 'oxford book
of american verse'. i know the late great richard
ellmann included him in the '76 edition.
i haven't read him in a while; keep hoping that there
will be a definitive, complete 'dream songs'. the
editor of 'henry's fate' says there are hundreds of
unpublished songs.
thanks for your present of praise. (if you should
feel like more gift-giving, you know that issue of
'story' would make a nice stocking-stuffer.)
congratulations on your promotion!
