    heh, (as Jim diffidently writes - but which for me always 
    conjures up the image of a poor chap in the grip of terminal 
    bronchiectasis)I don't think so.
    'John le Carre: ....educated Sherborne School, Berne University &,
    after military service, Oxford.  He taught French & German for 
    two years at Eton School before going into the British Foreign
    Service as second secretary in Bonn & consul in Hamburg.....'
    Biased, narrow-minded, snobbish, politically incorrect - possibly.
    But 'uneducated' - no.
