Two replies: 1. I stand corrected re: LeCarre's education. What were his subjects in those schools, and did they have Anything to do with literature? Perhaps he was just being quoted after reading a particularly Ignorant review of his work and was speaking out of frustration? Because his **comment** was still so inaccurate it's virtually inexcusable. 2.
