RE Vivekananda in Chicago: Once again, thank you, Cecilia. You who see the
Sea.
RE Allusions: Paul (Miller), I clipped will's original fine email too much
for my Allusions reply: '55 was chosen as start date since he was writing
about the Glass family in his email. I see _Teddy_ as the Great Divide: on
one side, everything up till then; other side, the Glass family. Think it's
a matter of personal perference which side one prefers.
RE Swami Vivekananda's Visit to Toronto: Upon seeing this subject line, I
was hoping Paul (Kennedy) had interviewed him. But reading that that didn't
happen, I would say Bessie is a fully realized female character; I think
Bessie co-stars (with Zooey) in _Zooey_. Paul, you might not enjoy meeting
the Bessie of _Zooey_, but I dare say you'd have welcomed her to your hotel
lobby in Chicago had it been the Bessie as described in _Hapworth_.
RE A Letter: Meredith, what a wonderful post! The perfect reply to
Cecilia's early-January query-post to all in the pond of bfish: So Why Are
You a Bananafish?
RE Master Builders: A great thread centered around the excellent
architect-to-be Catherine who has a fine eye (catcher of the Kafka misprint
on the Beaverboard).
Goodness, looking ahead to Jan. 30 and nudging into the 31st, the inbox
looks interesting, to say the least!
