When I was a freshman, I was first introduced to Salinger when a friend of
mine insisted that I borrow his copy of CITR. Had he not pushed me to read
it, I probably wouldn't have. When I read it, i feel in love...it was the
first time that I didn't read a novel wthout being absolutely annoyed with it
and thinking it was terrible. It was the only thing I had ever read up until
that point that truly spoke to me--or at least the first time I let anything
do so. I ended up searching for whatever I could find that Salinger had
written and taking every opportunity to read it...so here I am.
