Subject: ....if I'm gonna be put in Bartlett's

If there is ever Truth and/or Justice (take your pick),
may my tongue be pulled painfully from my head,
should I ever be the one to take credit for Cecilia's
famous 'tra-la's'....
The success of the Cubs, however, is another matter.
All is changed, changed utterly, since we drank
bubbly fluids at the dark and smokey altar of the
Grey Goat. (As the trading deadline approaches, I'm
offering myself as a free-agent fan. I've been to
more games in both Wrigley Field and Yankee Stadium
this year than I've been to any other ballpark.
Which teams are leading their respective divisions?)
Cheers,
Paul

It's a bit like Kinsella's mantra in SHOELESS JOE: "If you
build it, they will come...." Only it's more like, If
you promise me seats for at least one World Series game,
I will cheer for your team....
PS--Did you know that there are Cubs fans who have
been going to Wrigley since they were babies who
can't find their way to their seats?
