I suppose you're right...what's our problem? I don't mean to be
"un-American," but I've always lumped the blindingly anti-Communist
ideals in America with hyper-patriotism, equally as blind. I hate both.
It's so terrible to teach that something so ingrained into culture when
most people don't understand the concept of Communism fully. It's like
what Nietzche said (I'm pretty sure I spelled that right): "The surest way
to corrupt a youth is to teach him to hold in higher regard those who
think alike rather than those who think different." Years from now, all
we'll know is that we don't like Communism. We won't know why, what it
really is, or where it really came from, or what its motive was when it first
came out, but we will remember our finger-waggin fathers and
grandfathers and their stories.
I'm ranting again, and I'm sure reeking of Communist tendencies. Let
