When I was sixteen I wanted to direct Harriet the Spy. Last year, when I was thirty-four, someone finally did. I didn't see it. Like Andrew, I wouldn't want to see Jonathan Taylor Thomas make a Catcher movie. But it's a logical thought: Jonathan, like a lot of sixteen-year-olds, and like a lot of us bananafish of all ages, feels strongly about Catcher. He's a child actor: movies and television, presumably, are his life. Of course he wants to make it into a movie. Becky
