fellow pesciphiles- this has nothing to do with anything really but i thought it was kind cool/weird: i was watching the italian news... the main story was the apprehension of the alleged new head of 'cosa nostra' who'd been on the run for about a year now (italian police work.... ) the news reporter commented that the great leader was living in a tiny squalid room... he had in his possession a few books on religion... on his nightstand was _La Via del Pellegrino_ by an anonymous russian... when i heard this the hairs on the back of my neck did that cliche thing... it took me a while to work out why... but when i translated the title to _The Way of the Pilgrim_... it was all the more eerie because i had just re-read _Franny & Zooey_ the day before.. -marco P.S. i said i would translate a jd salinger article in _Panorama_ and post it to the list or to individuals.. unfortunately here at cornell the _Panorama_ collection is always several months behind the current issue... i hope to have a translation done by the end of august
