I just got a copy of a catalog from a furniture place, Ethan Allen. (It appears that every store in sight knows I have no furniture, and is trying to sell me whatever they have.) This is marked "The Essentials Sale 1999," and on page 9, and I quote in full: SALINGER RECLINER -- Classic proportions and lever-less motion keep Salinger's reclining capabilities a secret ...until you sit back. (It might be polite to offer guests the most comfortable seat in the house before you put your feet up.) Price as shown: about $1,500 (US). If I stayed up a week without sleep, I couldn't make these things up.... --tim
