> A little weekend levity. Enjoy. > > This one is for Tim, if he's still here. Great story, Malcs! A friend of mine used to do that at a local lunatic house, collecting some kind of local nut that grew on the grounds, and when he told it to me, I said, "Ah, Nuts from the Insane Asylum!" But he was not a fan of Russian literature to the extent that I was, and didn't know I was referring to Dostoevsky. I'm still here -- I had been staying with friends and am now just on a bit of an extended vacation down south, mostly to write (my own work) and comment (on a friend's book). As such, I have been making sure the list stays alive, and have quietly been handling subscription problems as they arise, but have been refraining from participation, because I'm strongly focusing my energy elsewhere just now. I haven't lost a bit of interest, but have a finite number of hours in my day, regrettably. There's still only one way to write, which is by sitting down every day and doing it.... And though I limited myself to six books, the only JDS book is Nine Stories. So, I can't even check the simplest of references if someone asks. Living out of a bag like this gives you an interesting perspective on life. Cheers to all! --tim
