I meant to write this down days ago! Anyone good at dream interpretations ? The other night I had a pretty weird dream after reading `Uncle Wiggily in Conneticut' before bed. I dreamed that JDS Salinger had decided to take in a limited number of lucky people to instruct, give a speech to, and otherwise discuss his secrets with. As dream logic would have it, I was one of these people, who assembled excitedly in a small library in Cornish in preparation for his oration, in front of a huge wall of books. You'll all be very pleased to hear that Salinger is a very pleasant, humorous man with a penchant for pink tee shirts with ads for brands of vitamins on them (: ( I took this as my dreaming mind's interpretation of Holden Vitamin Caulfield). Unfortunately for us all I remember none of Salinger's secrets, although he *did* tell them to us and I recall it all made some sort of wonderful sense which left us feeling like the people in `Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory' when they discovered it was the Oompa Loompas who ran the factory (twee I know, but Willy Wonka is, when you think about it, a pretty good analogy for Salinger) - i.e. well satisfied and enlightened. For my next question - does anyone know self hypnosis, so I can try and remember what those secrets were ??? Camille verona_beach@geocities.com @ THE ARTS HOLE www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Theater/6442
