Steven, I parse papers (and the people working on them!) and liked your
response (parts) but wanted to understand it so I was wondering what you
do with language when one views an abstract painting and does more than
evaluate...isn't there a language of feeling and reception that may never
reach words. For some reason your post made me think of _Grammatical Man_
by Jeremy Campbell and _Actual Minds, Possible Worlds_(?) by Jerome
Brunner, two of the better books I read in grad school. thanks, will
