Camille asked:
You're implying that Green Eggs and Ham isn't one of the
greatest books of
the century? Hey, I cut my literary teeth on that baby!

`That Sam I am, that Sam I am, I do not like that Sam I am,
I do not like
green eggs and ham, I do not like them Sam I am, I do not
like them on a
train, I do not like them on a plane ....'

Oh, I could go on. Though my favourite is the comparatively
obscure
`There's A Wocket in My Pocket'.

Isn't it interesting. I am strangely drawn to the old Dr Seuss as well.
Though not the old Wocket in my Pocket. Always thought that was the old Dr
Seuss euphemism for you know what. I must admit to reading Go Dog Go at
least fifty times. Do you like my hat?

But for me, there is nothing better than that old cat in the hat. The
elegance of his phrasing. The sparseness of his vocabulary. And, lets face
it, his last question "Well, what would you do if your mother asked you?" is
THE question. It lay at the heart of much of our modern literature.

Did Zooey ever tell Bessie what he and Franny were up to?
