No, I think that it's all subjective, on both the artist's side and the
viewer's. Artistry can take a thousand forms, but unless it is
recognized by someone as art, I don't think it can be called art.
Sometimes the person who recognizes the thing as art is the artist
himself. Sometimes it is the viewer of the piece who makes the
determination, though the creator/artist may have deemed it work.
People called Jackie Kennedy a social artist, though she just considered
it her personality. Subjective.
Therefore, if neither the artist nor any viewer considers it art, I
would say that it is not art.
