Concerning _Six Degrees of Separation_: my 20th Cent. Dramatic Lit class is scheduled to read that play next week. Sadly, I have not seen the film or read the play, and I was wondering (I guess, curious in advance) as to what exactly the "Catcher" monologue is about. Is it simpley pertaining to the novel in general? I only have a vauge idea of the plot of the play, even, so any comments would be intresting to hear...or it is a kind of work that one should read for oneself before hearing comments on it (If that makes any sense)?
