    Absolutely Will. And a writer should never presume
    on the indulgence or (God help us) the 'respectful'
    attention of his readers. He must aspire to the hypnotist,
    the seducer, maybe even the ravisher; not the self-
    absorbed old eccentric for whom allowances must
    be made.
